GALLOWAY, N.J. -

While the debate was happening inside of the Stockton University Student Center, on Tuesday, May 9th, candidates who were not selected by the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission held their own debate right outside the building.

According to Stockton University, the four other candidates did not raise enough funds to qualify in the official debate.

Among those present were Republican candidates Joseph Rudy Rullo and Steven Rogers, and Democratic candidates Bill Brennan and Mark Zinna.

Joining the debate on the steps of the university's student centers were supporters of candidates, as well as protesters from around the state bringing attention to hot-button issues.
