VINELAND – A South Jersey college will hold a major business summit expected to attract business leaders from throughout the region.
The 2017 Business Leaders’ Summit, to be held at Cumberland County College, will feature Google executive Steve Vinter as its keynote speaker. Vinter is Google’s Executive Leadership Coach. The goal behind the summit, which will take place on Thursday, April 13th, is to help company and organizational leaders better navigate the world of cyberspace, advanced talent acquisition, information security, and other business strategies.
Vinter is a former Google engineering director who also served as an advisor to Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Office of Engineering Outreach Programs.
“We are very excited about bringing a top Google executive to share his insight and experience about growing leadership talent at Google,” said Cumberland County College President Dr. Yves Salomon-Fernandez. “We are planning an unprecedented event with experts from global companies that will speak candidly about how to achieve success in today’s vastly changing cyber world."
Michelle Drolet, CEO and co-founder of data security company Towerwall, will also be speaking to summit attendees during the lunch session. With more than 23 years of network and data-security experience, Drolet was named one of the 10 most powerful women in the information security industry by VAR Business magazine.
The summit will be held on the CCC campus at the Luciano Conference Center, located at 3322 College Drive in Vineland. Networking for attendees begins at 8 a.m., with a formal program of speakers and workshop series slated between 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. More than 15 workshops will be led by other national and regional industry experts on topics related to information security, disaster recovery, compliance, business growth strategies, recruiting qualified talent and more.
Registration for the 2017 Business Leaders’ Summit event is $35 and includes a continental breakfast and luncheon buffet, as well as admission to all of the keynote addresses and breakout work sessions that day.
