VINELAND N.J. — Cumberland County College will have musician C. Lynne Smith on Sunday, April 23rd, for its continuing Down Jersey On-Stage Music Series.

The stage inside the college's Performing Arts Center will be transformed into a listening room for the concert as the audience will be seated on stage with the musicians.

Smith’s inspiration for creating music comes from a life well lived. She writes songs of love, heartache, anger, peace, war, and everything in between. Her style of music ranges from traditional country with a modern take, to folk, rock and beyond.

Smith’s original compositions and country classics will feature guitar and Marlene Dabbert on bass. The two performed extensively last summer in Cape May.

On display will be paintings by artist Jean Jablonski.

The performance begins at 2 p.m. in the Guaracini Performing Arts Center, 3322 College Drive. Seating is limited. Tickets are $9 for all ages. Call the Cumberland County College Box Office at 856-692-8499 for more information.

Box Office hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; and 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets may also be ordered online at

Update: You can also catch C. Lynne Smith in Stone Harbor at the "Thank You, Bob - The Songs of Bob Dylan" tribute concert at the Harbor Square Theatre on Saturday night, April 29th, starting at 9 p.m. The show will feature an assortment of South Jersey area musicians singing and playing their favorite Dylan songs.
