ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

April is Autism Awareness Month and with the rate of diagnosis increasing each year, many schools and organizations are taking the time to help others learn about the disability.

On April 12th, children at the Martin Luther King School Complex in Atlantic City, along with members of the organization Connecting the Dots, held a blowing bubbles event for Autism Day for the 10th year.

Students, teachers, and community members were encouraged to blow bubbles of hope, awareness and acceptance.

Connecting the Dots also held a classroom door-decorating contest for students in the Atlantic City school district.

The winning classroom will get to celebrate with a pizza party.
