CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J. – Before its heartbreaking destruction by arson, Michael’s family business, Loyle Lanes, supported dozens of community groups. One of his favorites was with the Salvation Army, hosting a “Bowl with Santa” event for underprivileged families held every Christmas. He has served as a volunteer on the A.J. Meerwald tall ship at the Bayshore Discovery Project and with innumerable other organizations.

Michael co-founded a Rotary Charity event called “Cumberland County’s Got Talent,” which raised tens of thousands of dollars, and he’s now been seen performing on the big stage with his world-famous dancers for the very successful “Voice of Vineland” lip-sync contest.

Michael also coordinates Rotary efforts to provide volunteers and support to the Salvation Army and is past president of the club. He and his wife and fellow Rotarian past president Betsy informally adopt special-needs children and help them get a better start in life.

In his spare time, Michael is a board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, is an active leader in Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River, Vineland Historical Society, and other notable groups.
