CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J. – James Curtis Edwards was elected to the Bridgeton City Council in 2014, and is its president. He previously was on the city’s School Board for nine years.
He has served as president and CEO of the CompleteCare Health Network since January 2015.
Edwards is very active in his community and has taken on many civic responsibilities including secretary for Gateway Community Action Partnership, Board of Directors, Bridgeton Rotary Lunch Club, and has served on the Human Services Advisory Council.
He was awarded the MCN 2009 Unsung Hero Award for distinguished dedication to migrant health. He also received the Vineland NAACP Freedom Fund Award for his contribution to education.
He’s a U.S. Navy veteran who currently resides in Bridgeton with his wife and two daughters.
