CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J. – Ken Dondero, co-owner of Dondero Diamonds and Fine Jewelry since 1979, has a distinguished history of commitment to the Vineland area.

A lifelong member of the community, Ken actively supports many local organizations, schools, and charities. With the support of Dondero’s Jewelry, Ken has had the opportunity to serve on a variety of boards and committees. Since 2013, Century Savings Bank has utilized Ken’s talents and expertise on its Board of Directors.

He is also a longtime board member of the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA, where he has served as president, co-chaired the Y’s last two capital campaigns, and served on the organization’s Strategic Planning task force. Ken has held a number of leadership roles as a longtime member of Vineland Rotary as well; he currently serves as President-elect. For many years he has co-chaired the Club’s Holiday Party for the 100-plus Vineland Public Schools’ self-contained special-needs students.

Most recently, he and 2016 Hometown Hero honoree Hugh McCaffrey co-founded the "Voice of Vineland,” designed to bring the community together for a night of fun, while raising funds and awareness at the same time. Between last year’s event and this year’s, the lip-sync contest has raised and distributed $65,000 to 10 worthy local charities.
