GALLOWAY, N.J. -

Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno is currently leading the Republican field to be the nominee to succeed her Governor Chris Christie.

In a Fairleigh Dickinson University Poll released on Thursday, Guadagno leads the field with 18 percent of the support of New Jersey's Republican voters. And though former "Saturday Night Live" comedian Joe Piscopo isn't officially running for governor yet, but he came in not far behind with 12 percent.

Thirteen percent of those surveyed said they support "someone else."

Piscopo said he is seriously considering running as a Republican, but perhaps as an Independent. Among Democrats, the polls showed that former Obama Administration Ambassador Phil Murphy has 17 percent support.

That's tied with once again - the choice of "someone else."
