ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

The Atlantic City Police Department is looking to track down a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery.

According to police, on Monday around 4:30 p.m. at the AC Convenience Store on the 4000 Block of Ventnor Avenue, a Hispanic man entered the store wearing a mask and demanded money from a clerk at the cash register. The store employee said he saw the suspect pull what he thought was a handgun from his bag, but when the clerk grabbed it, he realized it was actually a BB gun.

The suspect then removed his mask, trying to pretend the incident had just been a joke, before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information about the suspect should contact the Atlantic City Police Department Criminal Investigations Section at (609) 347-5766.
