ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

The Arc of Atlantic County dedicated Wednesday to making a difference.

Clients of the non-profit group first gathered for breakfast to celebrate "Make a Difference Day" before they headed out into the community to help others. About 50 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities volunteered at more than a dozen local charities, including the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, the Atlantic County Animal Shelter, and the Family Services Thrift Store.

Officials with Arc said they receive support from the Atlantic County community throughout the year, so they wanted to give back.

The Arc of Atlantic County is an organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
