WOODBINE, N.J - The Borough of Woodbine extends its celebration of America Recycles Day, an annual event that takes place on November 15th by initiating its recycling container distribution to the township.

Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on December 3rd, Woodbine’s Sustainable Jersey Green Team welcomes residents to come out and collect their new recycling containers at the Woodbine Public Works Garage at 401 Madison Avenue. Proof of residency will be required.

“America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Every year on or around November 15th (America Recycles Day) event organizers like Woodbine, educate neighbors, friends, and colleagues through recycling-themed events,” said Mayor William Pikolycky.

Funding for the new containers comes courtesy of the State of New Jersey through an allowance by the Recycling Tonnage Grant.

For more information on container pickup, contact the Borough’s Clerk’s Office at 609-861-2153.
