Susquehanna Bank Donates Funds to YMCA Capital Campaign

VINELAND - Susquehanna Bank, a Division of Branch Banking and Trust, has donated $10,000 to the YMCA of Vineland’s current capital campaign.
These funds were raised as part of the bank’s “Spring into Action” campaign, which raised $100,000 to donate to ten outstanding organizations that promote healthy living for children. The money will benefit the Vineland YMCA’s Milam Family Multipurpose Center and the planned Family Health and Adventure Center.
The bank made a donation for each interaction (like, share, comment, or retweet) on its “Spring into Action” posts on social media and for each Visa Check Card purchase transaction in April and May. Also, generous bank employees personally contributed to the cause by paying to wear jeans on Fridays during the campaign, raising nearly $20,000.
“We surpassed our goal of a $75,000 donation before the campaign had ended but decided to increase the amount to $100,000 due to the enthusiastic support from our customers and social media fans,” said Gregory Duncan, Bank President and CEO. “We wanted to enforce the message of living a healthy lifestyle and to help local nonprofits that carry out that mission every day.”
Vineland YMCA Board of Directors president John Barretta extended his appreciation to the bank for its contribution.
Barretta said, “We know that this money will be directly used to help make our community a healthier place, especially for youth and families. We are grateful for this support.”
