Cumberland County Department of Public Works Announces New All Way Stops

BRIDGETON – Cumberland County will soon implement new traffic safety measures for area drivers. Beginning next week, four intersections will become all-way stops.
On Monday, August 17th the following intersections in Upper Deerfield Township will become an all-way stop: County Road 606 (Old Deerfield Pike) and County Road 617 (Finley Road); and County Road 606 (Old Deerfield Pike) & County Road 704 (Silver Lake Road).
On Tuesday, August 18th the intersection at County Road 659 (Rosenhayn Avenue) & County Road 705 (Woodruff-Carmel Road) in Upper Deerfield will become a all-way stop.
Also on Tuesday, August 18th, the intersection at County Road 625 (Hogbin Road) & County Road 670 (Buckshutem Road) in Millville will become a all-way stop.
Electronic warning signs have been placed near these intersections to warn motorists of the pending change. Drivers are urged to use caution and not assume other vehicles will stop until the public is more familiar with the new traffic patterns.
The Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders authorized these changes as part of an effort to make those crossings safer for area.
