VIDEO: Maroon 5 Coming to Atlantic City This Sunday

ATLANTIC CITY - Atlantic City employees are hard at work setting up for the Marron 5 Concert happening his Sunday. Taking place at the Atlantic City Beach, next to the playground, the concert is one of the two "Do AC Beach Concerts" this Summer.
“We’re so very excited about Maroon 5 on Sunday and then Rascal Flatts on Thursday," said Richard Santoro, Special Improvement Division Director, of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. "For Sunday’s concert, we’re expecting between 40 and 50 thousand guests to come and enjoy the city.” Santoro added, “We want the customers to have fun, and we want the people to let their hair down a little bit and go a little wild, within boundaries. Atlantic City is the town people need to feel comfortable doing that.
A little over 1,000 people have been temporarily employed for the two concerts. The city has been getting ready for the large numbers entering the island this weekend by taking special safety precautions.
"We’re using a level one homeland security event plan," said Santoro.  "And we’re applying homeland security best practices to managing a crowd of this volume.  There’s local, county, state, and federal agencies working together to provide a safe environment.”
With songs like Moves Like Jagger and special guests taking the stage, Maroon 5 is excitedly awaited by Atlantic City.
“I’m excited, I’m very excited. We’re going to have our hands full with them right over here, I know for sure it’s going to be a blast for everyone around," said Oscar Casdillo, Valet at Park Place for the Pier.
“It’s great for Atlantic City, honestly," said Nicole Flank, Server at Riviera Beer Garden. "We need something like this and it’s going to attract a really great crowd, and I’m pumped.”
