Cumberland College Nominated for Perry Awards

VINELAND – Cumberland County College’s Department of Theatre has received eight 2015 Perry Award nominations from the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT).
Cumberland has been nominated for the following:
Outstanding Direction of a Play: Deborah Bradshaw, August: Osage County
Outstanding Lighting Design of a Play: Shawn McGovern, August: Osage County
Outstanding Properties of a Play: Patrick Ahearn & Noel Gomez, August: Osage County
Oustanding Scenic Design of a Play: Chris Totora, August: Osage County
Outstanding Scenic Design of a Musical: Chris Totora, Little Shop of Horrors
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play: Anne Buckwheat, August: Osage County
Outstanding Youth Actress in a Play: Jessica Fowler, August: Osage County
Outstanding Production of a Play: Deborah Bradshaw,  August: Osage County
This year’s awards will be announced on Sunday, September 20th during the Black and White Gala at the DoubleTree Hotel and Conference Center in Somerset.
Last year Deborah Bradshaw, CCC Theatre Programs Director, received a 2014 Perry Award in the category of Outstanding Production of a Musical for the college’s November 2013 production of Les Miserables, while Nicole Corigliano received a 2014 Perry Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical for her role as Fantine.
