Heritage Men's and Women's Club Raises $1,200 to Benefit Susan G. Komen

DEPTFORD – The Heritage Men’s and Women’s Club hosted their 2nd Annual Kentucky Derby party this past spring, raising $1,200 to benefit Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey (CSNJ).
The Derby party was a gathering with food, fun, and a Derby Hat contest. Attendees paid $20 and were encouraged to wear their best Derby hats while they bet on their favorite horses.
In conjunction with the Kentucky Derby party, the Heritage Clubs was also awarded a grant through Wells Fargo’s Community Connections program that was gifted to Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey.  The program allows local branch managers the opportunity to make a $1,000 charitable contribution on behalf of Wells Fargo to a nonprofit of their choice.
“Our local branches see which nonprofits are out in the community making a difference every day,” said James Newson, Wells Fargo’s South Jersey Area President. “We use this as an opportunity to celebrate and say thank you to Susan G. Komen CSNJ for all of the value they have provided to our community over the past year.”
