VIDEO: East Greenwich Township Asking for Equal School Funding
EAST GREENWICH TOWNSHIP - Members of the East Greenwich Township Committee sent a letter to Governor Chris Christie this week to protest the level of funding their schools receive. According to the letter, East Greenwich Township Schools are funded at a rate of 49% and 47.2%. Statewide, the average percentage of uncapped aid is 85.3%. The township committee urged christie to help bring about a more equitable distribution of school funding for their school district.
