VIDEO: New Jersey State Police to Start Wearing Body Cameras

MILLVILLE - In an effort to promote accountability, all troopers with the New Jersey State Police will be getting body cameras.
The $4 million project will outfit not only the state police, but also local police departments with the body cameras.
Acting Attorney General John Hoffman said that the cameras will help maintain mutual respect and trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Hoffman's office also issued guidelines for all police forces statewide on how the body cameras should be used.
The devices should be in use by all state police officers within the next year.
