Village by the Shore Receives KOVOD Award

MARGATE - Village by the Shore, a Jewish Family Service program providing services and socialization for adults 50 and older in Atlantic County, was recognized with the 2015 KOVOD Award.
Each year, agencies are recognized by the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies (AJFCA) for outstanding programs designed to address the increasing need for older adult services in the community.
Village by the Shore provides a variety of concierge, volunteer, and professional services for older adults. The Village model enables adults to enjoy life in their own homes through the concept of neighbors helping neighbors. Now it is second year of operation, Village by the Shore continues to expand its service partner and volunteer base to provide even more services for adults and older adults.
“We have seen tremendous growth in our Village by the Shore program this year and we are continuously adding new services, events, and partners,” said Andrea Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer at JFS. “We are honored to receive the AJFCA KOVOD Award as we continue to build momentum and make a difference in the lives of adults and older adults in our community.”
