Salem County Law Enforcement Launches Anonymous Text Tip App

SALEM COUNTY - The Salem County Prosecutor’s Office has launched an app called SCCrimeTips as a new way for the public to provide anonymous tips to any police department in the county.
The county-wide project, Tip411, is an internet-based tool from Citizen Observer that allows the public to text message an anonymous tip to police. It then allows the officers to respond back creating an anonymous two-way conversation.
Tip411 is used by over 1,200 communities throughout the United States.
Anyone with a cell phone can send a tip to any Salem County law enforcement agency by using a keyword and sending their message to TIP411 (847411). The app is available for download on both iTunes and the Android Google Play Store.
