National Weather Service Issues Flood Warning for Salem and Cumberland County
CUMBERLAND COUNTY - The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for Salem and Cumberland County until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17th. The Maurice River has been experiencing minor flooding. It crested at 4.5 feet early in the morning. The river is expected to be slow to fall below flood stage, with minor flooding expecting to continue throughout Friday. The National Weather Service is advising the public to not go into areas where the water covers the road. The water may be too deep to all a car to cross safely.
