GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - The Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) is sponsoring a free, four-session workshop to assist older adults with strategies to get hired.
“Find, Get and Keep the Job You Want: A New Environment Calls for New Strategies” will take place at the Stockton University Campus Center in Meeting Room 2 on four consecutive Mondays, August 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. Each workshop will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Michael Kuhlman, of the National Council on Aging, will facilitate the workshops.
The four weekly sessions will take participants through the SELFIE (Self-Empowering Learning for Innovative Enlightenment) model created by Kuhlman. Participants will learn how to identify obstacles, discover their competitive edge in a changing work environment, learn what employers need from their employees, develop strategies for resume writing and interviews, and practice their presentation skills.
