SNJ Today Completes News Team

MILLVILLE – SNJ Today announced the addition of two new members of the team that will launch the first-ever TV newscast focused on the entire Southern New Jersey area. Megan Wolf will serve as news director and Cara McCullum as anchor, for the new SNJ Today News broadcast to launch on Thursday, July 23rd.
A seasoned professional, Wolf is no stranger to South Jersey having served as executive producer and then news director at the former Atlantic City based NBC 40 news.
“When we decided to launch this broadcast, we knew we wanted a seasoned professional who would carry out our mission of putting South Jersey news back on the air,” said Frank DiMauro, Chief Operating Officer at SNJ Today. “Megan has an outstanding background and was our top choice. We are thrilled to welcome her aboard and look forward to seeing her in action.”
SNJ Today News will begin with weekly Thursday night broadcasts at 7 and 11 p.m. and expand to a daily schedule this fall.
“As news director, I’m excited to focus my staff on events and stories that matter most to the people of South Jersey,” said Wolf. “I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the newsroom and have the opportunity to work with such a great team.”
Anchoring the news will be Cara McCollum, a recent Princeton University graduate, and former Miss New Jersey.
“Cara has experience as a journalist, spokesperson, and TV host,” said DiMauro. “She also has a passion for literacy and a personality to match. Cara is a wonderful addition, trusted news source and supporter of all things South Jersey.”
Joining Wolf and McCollum on the news team will be Nick Pittman, lead weather forecaster, and Mike Frankel, lead sports reporter. Both were part of the former NBC 40 staff.
