Delsea Senior Selected as Senator for American Legion Boys Nation

FRANKLINVILLE - James F. Kelly, a senior at Delsea Regional High School, has been selected as a senator for the American Legion Boys Nation Conference in the Washington, D.C. area on Friday, July 17th to Friday, the 24th.
Boys Nation is an annual American Legion program that includes civic training, leadership development, and a focus on Americanism.
Kelly previously served as a City Councilman, City Ward Leader, and County Sergeant of Arms at the New Jersey Boys State event, which had more than 900 student delegates. In Washington, Kelly will be joined by Raymond  Z. Hu of Belle Meadin in representing New Jersey.
At Delsea, Kelly serves as president of the National Honor Society, Drum Major of the Marching Band, and First Sergeant in JROTC. Kelly hopes to attend The United States Military Academy and become an electrical engineer.
