Christine Lamprea to Highlight Bay Atlantic Symphony Opening Summer Concert Live at Borgata

BRIDGETON — Christine Lamprea, an internationally-acclaimed cellist, will highlight the opening concert in the Bay-Atlantic Symphony’s second year of its summer classical series. The concert will take place at the Music Box at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City on Sunday, July 19th at 5 p.m.
Lamprea will perform Antonín Dvorák’s Cello Concerto in B minor, and Op. 104. The program will also feature Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, Op. 35—his orchestral depiction of the One Thousand and One Nights legend.

Upcoming concerts in the summer classical series will include Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring the return to Bay Atlantic Symphony audiences of virtuoso pianist Terrence Wilson, along with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 on Sunday, August 2nd. Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 2 in E-flat major, K. 417 featuring the Bay-Atlantic Symphony’s principal hornist Jonathan Clark, along with Mozart’s overtures to Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D major, Hob. 1/104, will be featured on Sunday, August 30th.
Bay Atlantic Symphony concerts and other community music education programs are made possible in part by a grant from PNC Arts Alive, a multi-year, multi-million dollar initiative of the PNC Foundation. The goal of PNC Arts Alive is to help area residents gain access to the arts and to help arts organizations expand and engage audiences.
