PLEASANTVILLE - The Pleasantville Greyhounds football program has fallen on hard times recently, finishing winless in four of the last five seasons. Chris Sacco, who has ties to a few of South Jersey’s winningest programs – playing, and coaching at Hammonton, and coaching at Saint Joseph, will take over for the Greyhound this season. Sacco is looking to bring his winning attitude to the Greyhounds, and rebuild a once proud Pleasantville program.
“Coming from the background that I’ve come from, two successful programs, I think what better way then not try to create your own program," said Sacco. "Some people don’t agree with that, but I’m worried about what’s best for us.  And I think that it’s a great opportunity for them.  It’s a great opportunity for myself and our coaching staff. I’m really excited. We have a lot of good energy out here and the kids are responding.  So I think that’s what ultimately led to this position.”
The Greyhounds begin the Chris Sacco era at home against Bishop Shanahan of Pennsylvania on September 11th.
