Delsea Regional High School Students Attend DECA COLT Conference

FRANKLINVILLE - Delsea Regional High School DECA Leadership Team students took part in several career-oriented activities on Friday, October 16th.
This year’s DECA COLT Conference (Chapter Officer Leadership Training), held at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, featured several sessions that the students participated in. The sessions included team building, membership strengthening, and networking strategies.
The students also listened to motivational speaker, Keith Hawkins, during the conference. Hawkins tied the DECA 2015 mission statement, “Be Epic,” into his speech.
The Delsea DECA team, which represents a membership of over 150 individuals, have been holding numerous fundraising activities and other events for the 2016 International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Nashville, Tennessee. The ICDC provides students with the opportunity to participate in marketing, business, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship competitions and academies.
The DECA Leadership Team includes Carly Storm as the Chapter Treasurer, Julia Grimley as the Chapter Secretary/Media Correspondent, Shannon Waller as the Fundraising Chairperson, Jordan Dobzanski as the Community Service Chairperson, Kayla Master as the Chapter President, Sam Gorrell as the Chapter Vice President, Breanna Williams as the Community Service Committee Member, Samantha DeSimone as the Business and Education Partnership Chairperson, and Destini Clark as the NJ DECA State Action Team President.
