MILLVILLE - A popular brand of fresh spinach is being recalled due to a salmonella risk. Dole Fresh Vegetables is voluntarily recalling some of its bagged spinach. Affected bags have a good by date of october 15th. The spinach was distributed in 13 states including New Jersey. The company says no illnesses have been reported but salmonella can cause gastrointestinal distress and can be a concern for the young, old, or those with weakened immune systems.
