Video: Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell paid a visit to Atlantic City Schools
ATLANTIC CITY - Miss America is back to visit Atltantic City since her crowning at the Miss America Pageant to speak about her platform, "Healthy Children, Strong America." Betty Cantrell, formerly Miss Georgia and now Miss America 2016, paid a visit to two Atlantic City schools, Atlantic City High School, and Richmond Avenue Elementary School. She also surprised the students with a vocal performance. The schools were chosen for winning a Miss America-themed contest. "We were the winners of the Show Us Your Cans food collection for the AC Rescue Mission," said Brigid Hughes, Teacher at Richmond Avenue. "And as a result, we are lucky enough to have a visit from the 2016 Miss America and we are so excited."
