Science Students at Pleasant Valley School Build Terrarium

MULLICA HILL – Students in Mr. Hedenberg’s Science class at Pleasant Valley School studied ecosystems recently by building their own terrarium with a FOSS Ecosystems Kit. The terrarium will represent a self-contained mini ecosystem, complete with its own water cycle.
In collaborative lab groups, students chose the specifications of their terrarium such as the types of seeds added, the amount of water needed, and the location of the terrarium.
Students will continue to monitor the ecosystem and record data into the month of November.
