VIDEO: STEAMworks Makerspace Opens in Bridgeton

BRIDGETON - Cumberland County College has come to Bridgeton. And they've brought with them what looks to me like a workshop for mad scientists.
The new facility, Cumberland County College's Bridgeton campus, was unveiled at a ceremony. The space has all sorts of gizmos and gadgets, and i'll let the director tell you a little more about it.
"And essentially it's a makers space. If you're not familiar with a makers space, it's a facility that has a wide range of equipment," said Kevin Rabago, Director at Bridgeton Office of Development and Planning. "For all those reasons we're excited. It's been a long time coming. We've been working on this project for I would say, a good two and a half years now. So to get to this day is real gratifying.
The makerspace is called STEAMworks - which stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The creative "do it yourself" space will allow anyone from entrepreneurs to artists to access state of the art equipment.
