Disabilities on Awareness Day at Salem Community College

SALEM -The Salem County Office of Disability Services is hosting the County’s popular Disabilities on Awareness Day on Thursday, October 9th at Salem Community College. The conference is offered to free of charge to special needs residents, along with family, friends, support staff, and advocates of those with special needs living in Salem County.
Vendors and exhibitors will be on display from 9 a.m. until presentations begin at 11:30 a.m. This year’s speakers include a representative from Begley Law Group on Special Needs Trusts and Marikay Green from the Salem County Office of Aging on Medicaid Long Term Service and Support. the American Dance Wheels will be giving a demonstration of the Rumba and Salsa. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.
“Last year, we had record participation,” said Freeholder Director Julie Acton. “The Salem County Freeholders are very committed to providing this opportunity to learn about resources and programs available to assist individuals and their families.”
This year’s cosponsors are Mid-Atlantic States Career & Education Center and Mobility Works.
