VIDEO: Local Schools Unveil New Banner Commemorating Partnership

GLASSBORO - It's the opposite of a school rivalry, as two local schools banded together for the betterment of South Jersey.
Rowan University's College of Education has partnered with the Cherry Street School, as well as other area schools as part of their professional development school network, to enhance university relations in the community - as well as give local students access to the college's resources.
"We’re extremely excited about Rowan University coming in, and the partnership that they’re gonna have with not only the staff, but with both the administrators and the students as well,"  said Terrence Spencer, Principal of Cherry Street School.
The partnership was commemorated with a banner unveiling.
"We’re all in this together towards making sure we make a positive impact on not only the learners in the school, but their families and the communities in which we serve," said Monika Williams Shealey,  Dean of the College of Education at Rowan University.

Representatives from both the college and the Bridgeton Elementary School are excited for the partnership, and the opportunity to enhance education in underserved areas of south jersey.
