Jewish Family Services Raises Over 3,000 Dollars with Bike Rides

UPDATE 9-29-15: Bike Rides Raised $6,500.
MARGATE - Two bike rides were held this month to benefit the Jewish Family Service (JFS).
This year, the Marc L. Rosenberg (MLR) Friends and Family Bike Ride and the Battle Against Hunger Bike Ride raised more than $3,200 to benefit JFS.
The 30-mile MLR Friends and Family Bike Ride is a round-trip ride between Margate and Strathmere. With donations made by riders, as well as community members not able to participate, this effort raised approximately $2,000 for the Marc L. Rosenberg Memorial Fund which provides financial support where the agency has most need. The event is held each year in memory of Marc Rosenberg, a life-long resident of Margate and a business and community leader.
The 13th Annual Battle Against Hunger Bike Ride raises community awareness about the JFS food pantry. This year the event brought in $1,200 to aid the thousands of individual and families served each year.
“We are extremely thankful to Patti, Doug, and Rachel for organizing and participating in these annual bike ride fundraisers for JFS,” said Andrea Steinberg, Chief Executive Officer at JFS. “Each year it is wonderful to see even more community members get involved in these rides by participating or making a donation, ultimately helping people in need.”
Donations are still being accepted and can be mailed to Jewish Family Service, 607 North Jerome Ave., Margate, NJ 08402 or made online at
