BRIDGETON - Cape Bank donated $1,000.00 to the Bridgeton School District to help purchase school supplies for their elementary students.
"They chose Bridgeton School District because they realize that some of our students come from impoverished backgrounds and it may not be easy for parents to go out and buy those resources that our students need in order to be successful," said Thomasina Jones, Superintendent, Bridgeton School District. "This is important for our school district because it shows we have a relationship with the businesses in our school area and certainly that they are concerned about meeting the needs of our students."
The donation was made at the Cherry Street School on Tuesday, September 22nd. Cape Bank promotes the "Cape Cares" program, where they do good deeds for their community. There are Cape Bank branches in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Gloucester counties.
