VIDEO: WWII Mural Unveiled in Millville

MILLVILLE - A large WWII mural was unveiled at the New Jersey Motorsport Park on Tuesday, September 23rd to represent Millville's role in the war.
The 24 by 12-foot mural was painted by Sam Donovan, of Woodstown, who also painted the “Wall of Rememberance” in Millville’s City Hall.
"I was told by my grandfather that it actually turned the war in our favor because of the training and expertise that occurred right here where we're standing today," said Joe Derella, Cumberland County Freeholder. "Millville, when you enter in, there's a sign that says 'Remembering our past and embracing our future.' The only way you can follow that is if you make sure you understand your history, and where you came from. And that's what we're doing today. We're remembering where we came from, and what helped us make a great community and a great city and a great county - and we're making sure nobody forgets. "
