VIDEO: Annual New Jersey State Firefighters Convention and Expo Hosted in Wildwood

WILDWOOD - The Annual New Jersey State Firefighters Convention and Expo is being held at the Wildwood Convention Hall this weekend.
“I come down here every year, this is probably my 25th time coming down here to the New Jersey’s Firemen’s Convention down in Wildwood, it’s a great time, and it’s a chance to fellowship with my brother fire fighters,” said Chris Williams, Firefighter for the City of Vineland Fire Department.
This event is sponsored by the Five Mile Beach Association. Fire companies from all over the state come to display their fire trucks at the convention. The Association requests a one dollar donation to enter the expo area, but the money raised goes towards a special cause.
“We’re collecting for the Burn Foundation, so all the proceeds that we collect, it goes to anybody that gets burnt in a house fire, whether it’s civilians or fire fighters or whatever, it goes to help out bills and stuff like that," said Williams.
The Annual Convention will be going on until Saturday, September 19th, with merchandise vendors, a parade, and fireworks to end the weekend.
