Salem County Expands Free Flu Clinic Schedule

Posted:
SALEM - The Salem County Department of Health and Human Services will hold free nine flu clinics for Salem County residents.
“The drive-through clinic is particularly popular with residents and it was quite successful last year when we put it back in the schedule,” said Julie Acton, Freeholder Director. “We are pleased to be able to offer the drive-through clinic again this year.”
The flu clinics this year are made possible through funding from the Salem Health and Wellness Foundation in cooperation with the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
“We are grateful to the Salem County Health and Wellness Foundation for providing a grant to allow us to expand the flu clinic offerings,” said Bob Vanderslice, Freeholder who oversees the Department of Health and Human Services. “Last year we served more than 2,000 people with flu shots.”
No appointment is necessary to come to the clinics. Salem County residents who are 3 years and older will be accepted at all flu clinics. Ateendes are asked to wear light clothing so sleeves can be easily rolled up for the shot.
