VIDEO: Lower Cape Mays School District Perform at Phillies StadiumPosted:
MILLVILLE - Lower Cape May’s School District scored a home run during their musical performances at the Phillies stadium’s inaugural band day.
“They wanted to do their First Annual Band Day," said John Drechen, Band Director. "And they commissioned a piece, that is full of Philadelphia musical themes, and this is going to be performed by about ten high school bands that are going to get together and perform this piece outside the third gate entrance.”
Since they sold the most tickets, Lower Cape May and their middle school, Richard M. Titleman, were chosen to perform the National Anthem on the field.
“The students are very excited, and that’s our big thing, we just wanted to have fun and be able to join in with my kids get used to the high school kids, and vice versa, and they can all work together, and bond and everything," said Bethany Wiberg, Band Director Richard M. Teitelman Middle School.
