BRIGANTINE - One local seal has a new home in Virginia Beach. This one-year-old male harbor seal has been living at the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine for the last seven months. It was found on a Monmouth County Beach on Valentine's Day with wounds on its neck and back. The seal is partially paralyzed in its rear flipper, so it can't be released back to the wild. Instead, the seal is settling in at the Virginia Aquarium, where he'll join four other male seals. It was a bittersweet goodbye from the staff at the Marine Mammal Stranding Center.
