Cumberland County High School Raises $300 for Cancer Research

BRIDGETON - Cumberland Regional High School raised more than $300 through their “Novem-Beard” fundraiser.
The funds raised will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation. This fundraiser invited students and staff to donate $0.25 per vote or $1 for five votes. Each vote was used to select a silly facial hair style, such as the “Wolverine” and “mutton chops,” for participating staff members. Participating staff members included Brett Severino, James Ackroyd, Matthew Evans, Gene Thomas, Ed Carson, Jason Smith, Zach Grigioni, Brandon Krementz, Jason Ceresini, Todd Jorgenson, as well as Cathy Bullock, Ashley Trost, and Dena Brogen.
Mr. Krementz, Mr. Grigioni, and Mr. Ackroyd also agreed to shave their heads in return of generous contributions. The CRHS Gay-Straight Alliance contributed $100, and an anonymous donor gave $50 to help meet the head-shaving goal. All participants were applauded by students for their involvement in the event.
