Washington Township Public Schools Raise Money for Thanksgiving Food Drive

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Students from all three of the District’s middle schools took turns staffing a donation table to gather support for the District’s upcoming “Gobble Up Hunger Thanksgiving Food Drive.”
The table was set up at the Bottino’s ShopRite on Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd and raised enough money to provide Thanksgiving baskets for 200 families this holiday.
“On behalf of the organizers and students who volunteered in this food drive, we extend a big ‘thank you’ to Bottino’s ShopRite and especially to all the residents whose generosity and support continue to be the foundation for so many of our community service efforts throughout the school system and the year,” said Ron Lucarini, Orchard Valley Middle School Teacher.
