Bridgeton Lions Club Accepting New Members

BRIDGETON - The Bridgeton Lions Club has announced that it is accepting new members.
The Lions Club International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members. There are about 46,000 clubs in over 200 countries.
The Bridgeton club activities include "Sight Awareness Programs" such as the "White Cane” fundraiser and the eyeglass recycling program.  The club also assists to Ring the Bell with the Salvation Army during the holiday season and previously, they adopted a road through Bridgeton City Park. Some of the clubs sponsorships include the International Peace Poster Contest at the Salem Middle School and The Bridgeton Excel Program as well as a Little League Team.
The Lions meet the first Thursday of every month at the Margaret Winchester Enrichment Center for the Blind and a dinner meeting on the third Thursday of every month at De Olde Towne Tavern Restaurant on 692 North Pearl Street. Both meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
