Bethany Grace Community Church Announces Volunteer Opportunities for Holiday Season

BRIDGETON – Interested Bridgeton residents will have the opportunity to get involved in several upcoming volunteer and donation opportunities.
Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner
The Bethany Grace Community Church and the Hands of Compassion Ministry will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday by giving back to the community. The organizations will be serving a free Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day. Food and monetary donations are needed to make this dinner a success.
Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Bridgeton Lunch Rotary has invited guests to the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony which will take place on Tuesday, November 24th. Light refreshments will be available during the ceremony as well as caroling and a visit from Santa Claus. The event will take place at the Bridgeton Pocket Park at Commerce and Laurel Streets. Participants are encouraged to donate new socks which will be collected for the homeless.
Christmas Morning Brunch
Bethany Grace Community Church has announced that it will be holding its Annual Christmas Morning Brunch on Christmas Day from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will take place on Friday, December 25th and volunteers and donations are needed.
Agape Sunday Café
Volunteers are needed to serve and prepare meals at the Agape Sunday Café which operates every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
New Career Clothing Closet
The Career Clothing Closet collaborates with the Greater Bridgeton Women’s Club to provide those seeking employment with one professional outfit. The outfits are offered at one per person in a three month period. Appointments may be made by calling 855-818-3810.
Food Pantry and Clothing Closet
Bethany Grace Community Church is in need of food and clothing for its monthly distribution which takes places on the Third Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Bethany has announced that it has expanded its drop-off times for donations made on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The church will now accept donations on these days from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and special arrangements may be made by calling 855.818.3810.
