OCEAN CITY - After much debate, Ocean City is officially banning drones for the next ten months. The City Council passed an ordinance that would ban unmanned aerial systems from flying within five miles of the Ocean City Airport. That ban takes effect on Wednesday, December 2nd. The ordinance will expire in September 2016. If the City Council does not take any action before then, drones will be able to fly over the boardwalk once again.
