Redeemer Lutheran Church Makes Dresses for Children in Africa

VINELAND - Redeemer Members of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer made over 60 dresses for children in Africa.Young girls in Africa whose circumstances have forced them to become primary caregivers to their younger siblings will receive the dresses that were made in several sizes from standard, queen, and king-sized pillowcases. Each dress is personalized and includes shoulder ties with lace and trim.Thread, trim, ribbon, and pillow cases were provided through Thrivent Financial and a Thrivent Action Team lead by Jan Stiegler.The completed dresses will be distributed to the girls through Little Dresses for Africa. The organization was founded in 2008 by Rachel O’Neill, and its purpose is to provide relief to children throughout and beyond Africa.
