Millville Glasstown Arts District to Host Third Friday Events

MILLVILLE - November's Third Friday, hosted by the Millville Glasstown Arts District, will have plenty of events, shopping, and art exhibits on Friday, November 20th.
“Artful Giving” kicks off the holiday shopping season at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts on 22 N. High Street. The main gallery will be filled with artisan jewelry, art glass pieces, ceramics, quilts, wooden sculptures, along with a variety of paintings and prints.
“Items are in every price range,” said Diane Roberts, Director. “There will be hand-blown Christmas ornaments, ceramics plates, bowls and cups, and even hand-carved wooden walking sticks.”
Unlike the monthly Third Friday art exhibits, everything is available from Third Friday through the end of the year to purchase.
Also at the Riverfront Center, the Witt Gallery will feature the Associate Artists’ winners from 2014. The exhibit will be the art of Maryann Cannon, Elizabeth Regan, Meed Barnett, and Deb Spinella.
In the Artist Alcove, you can enjoy a presentation entitled “X-Max Past, Present & Found.” It is the display of jewelry, paintings, sculpture, and gifts by artists Meed Barnett and Nancy Sharp.
Live music will be found at many of the shops, galleries, pubs, and country singer Lee Ann Womack will be performing on stage at the Levoy Theatre at 8:00 p.m. In an addition to Lee Ann Womack, you can enjoy the acoustic guitar of Mark Pasquini at the Riverfront Renaissance Center, Dan Barry & Dominic will perform at Bogart’s Books and Coffee, and beginning at 7 p.m. LaBottega of Art and the Village on High will have live musical groups.
Custom holiday gift baskets made-to-order will be available at Across the Pond on 129 N. High Street. Holiday specialty teas have arrived, such as Apple Blossom, Cinnamon Spice, Peppermint Bark, and Nutcracker Sweet.
Bogart’s Books and Coffee will host author Jennifer Walkup for a book signing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 210 N. High Street. The book entitled “Second Verse” is a young-adult mystery. There will also be live music, a coffee bar, and tons of books at this event.
