Four Camden County College Athletics Qualify for National Championships

CAMDEN COUNTY - Camden County College announced that four of their five athletic teams qualified for their national championships this season.
The men’s soccer team will compete for the National Junior College Association Division III crown from Thursday, November 12th to Sunday, November 15th after earning the Region XIX champion title during a game against Ocean County College. This will be the third year in a row that the team earned the regional title.
Additionally, four members of the women’s soccer team received post-season honors. The honorees included Linda Kovacs and Natalie Acciani for first-team All-Region XIX and first-team All-Garden State Athletic Conference, Sara Roselle for second-team All-Region XIX and second-team All-GSAC, and Rachel Ingram for third-team All-Region XIX.
Three members of the men’s and women’s cross country teams qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championships on Saturday, November 7th. The qualifiers included Sal Borreggine and Matt Walker who both earned first-team All-Region XIX honors after running the 8K and Candace Daywalt earned second-team All-Region XIX honors after running the 5K.
The school’s women’s tennis team also qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championships after a close second-place finish to Rowan College of Gloucester County in the Region XIX tournament.
