ESL Students to Benefit from Technology Initiative

SEWELL – 50 students at Washington Township High School may benefit from a one-to-one technology initiative for English as a Second Language (ESL) students.
The initiative provides students with iPads in an effort to help teachers individualize their instruction and utilize many resources that are available to strengthen their communication and comprehension of the English language. Additionally, the district is welcoming the parents of ESL students to approve and setup the accounts for their children in order to enable the technology staff to load useful apps onto the iPads. The apps will directly address the learning needs of the students.
“We are very excited about moving in this direction as it provides our teachers and students with so many more resources and engages all students in their learning,” said Rosemarie Armstrong, World Language Supervisor. “The students are extremely excited.”
