Bunker Hill Middle School Celebrates the Day of the Dead

SEWELL - Bunker Hill Middle School's seventh and eighth grade Spanish students celebrated Dia de los Muertos during a video conference on Tuesday, November 3rd.
Dia de los Muertos or the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday that gathers family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have passed away. Born 2 Move Movement Adventures hosted the conference which included festive music and dancing for the students.
The founder of Born 2 Move Movement Adventures, Marc Kotz, also explained the meanings behind several “Mexican Fiesta Dances,” including Los Viejitos which means Dance of the Little Old Man, the Hand Waving Dance, and the Skeleton Dance. The students also enjoyed videos of the dances before practicing them with Kotz.
